KIASWA Initiative
A community-based organisation serving Trans and female sex workers in Kiambu County, Kenya. We bridge community needs with county health systems and law enforcement to deliver integrated health and rights services.
Through biomedical, behavioral, and structural programmes, we ensure every sex worker has access to dignified, stigma-free care.

Biomedical Services
HIV/AIDS services, Continuous Medical Education at partner hospitals, and 90-90-90 cascade support for key populations in Kiambu County.
Behavioral Services
Community-Led Monitoring training, mental health retreats, and rights education empowering sex workers to oversee their own healthcare.
Structural Services
Law enforcement sensitization, county health policy advocacy, and the KIASWA Service Charter guiding dignified service delivery.
Police & Law Enforcement Sensitization
Led by Founder and Advocate Melba Katindi, KIASWA facilitates structured workshops with police officers and county law enforcement — ensuring they understand the legal and human rights framework protecting sex workers in Kenya.
These sessions have measurably reduced harassment and improved police-community relations across Kiambu County.
